About the Role

The Estimation Engineer for Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting plays a vital role in the construction industry, responsible for evaluating project specifications, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring compliance with local electrical, plumbing, and fire safety regulations. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver accurate and competitive bids while maintaining project budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to identify requirements and quantify resources.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and justifications.
• Monitor project costs, track budget adherence, and highlight potential overruns.
• Research and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Support contract negotiations with clients and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Review historical data to improve the accuracy of future estimates and bidding processes.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance estimation practices.
• Participate in project meetings to address cost-related concerns and propose cost-saving strategies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience:

  3–5 years in electrical, plumbing, and firefighting estimation within the construction industry.

• Qualification:

  Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of piping layouts, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and local codes for electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
• Proficiency in reviewing tender specifications and technical drawings.
• Expertise in preparing both technical and commercial project bids.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in

  AutoCAD

  and

  MS Office

  for drafting and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to project execution.
