About Us

DeepTech Launch Pad is supporting a non-profit organization providing Spoken English Skills to Schools in Rural and Semi Urban Areas to underprivileged children as a part of its charity Activity. To streamline their NGO's academic operations and maximize impact, we are implementing ERPNEXT as core management system for the NGO free of cost. We are looking for a passionate and skilled ERPNEXT developer to join us to help and build out a Frappee hosted version of the platform for use by the NGO.

Job Summary

We are seeking an ERPNext Developer with 2 years of experience to lead the customization, implementation, and maintenance of our ERPNext platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tailoring the ERPNext system to meet the unique needs of Academic Program Management and non-profit operations. You will work closely with our program managers, administrators, and teaching staff to translate their requirements into effective, user-friendly solutions that directly support the educational mission.

This is an in-office role based in Coimbatore, offering a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills for a significant social cause.

Key Responsibilities

• Customization and Development:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom modules, features, and functionalities within the ERPNext platform using the Frappe framework.
• Develop custom applications for specific needs such as Student Information Management, Volunteer Teacher Management, Class Scheduling, Student Progress tracking etc.
• Create custom scripts (Python, JavaScript) to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
• Customize existing modules for school-specific workflows.
• System Management & Support:
• Manage the end-to-end ERPNext environment, including installation, configuration, and version upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system bugs, user-reported issues, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support and training to our staff to ensure effective adoption and use of the system.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and perform regular backups.
• Requirement Analysis & Integration:
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and manage custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into student progress, resource utilization, and donor engagement.
• Explore and implement integrations with third-party using REST APIs.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all customizations and developed processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in ERPNXT development.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Solid proficiency in Python and the Frappe Framework.
• Strong front-end skills in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with MariaDB/MySQL databases, including writing efficient SQL queries.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of the underlying architecture of ERPNext.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• A proactive and self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• A genuine interest in contributing to the non-profit sector.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Specific experience customizing the ERPNext Education and Non-Profit domains.
• Contributions to open-source projects (a link to your GitHub profile would be a plus).
