We are seeking a talented and experienced Erlang Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, concurrent, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. This role is crucial for our core backend services, where reliability and performance are paramount.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Around 5 years of experience in professional software development with a strong focus on Erlang.
Deep understanding of Erlang/OTP (Open Telecom Platform) and its core principles, including supervisors, generic servers (gen_server), and application behaviours.
Solid grasp of functional programming concepts.
Proven experience in building and deploying distributed systems and concurrent applications.
Proficiency with message-passing architectures and inter-process communication.
Experience with Erlang build tools like Rebar3 or other ecosystem tools.
Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality, high-availability software using Erlang/OTP.
Architect and implement scalable backend services for real-time processing and communication.
Ensure the robustness and reliability of applications through effective error handling, supervision trees, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.
Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver features.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and promote best practices.
Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and debug complex problems in distributed environments.
Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to deployment and maintenance.
