Talent Acquisition Specialist

In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and develop targeted recruitment strategies. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating the selection and offer process. The Specialist ensures that recruitment practices are fair, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s values and diversity objectives.

The role also involves maintaining and optimizing applicant tracking systems (ATS), ensuring accurate documentation, and generating recruitment metrics and reports for continuous process improvement. The Talent Acquisition Specialist proactively builds and maintains talent pipelines, engages with potential candidates, and leverages professional networks, career platforms, and social media to strengthen the organization’s visibility in the job market.

Effective communication, organization, and relationship-building are central to this role. The Specialist serves as a key contact for candidates, providing clear communication, timely feedback, and a positive hiring experience. Additionally, the role contributes to employer branding efforts by supporting career events, university partnerships, and online engagement initiatives.

Through strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration, the Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures that recruitment efforts contribute to the organization’s growth and culture. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, talent sourcing, and employment best practices.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging candidates and stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, compliance standards, and recruitment ethics.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting hiring metrics and identifying improvement opportunities.
