Job Description

As a safety personnel, your role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of individuals while maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will be responsible for conducting safety programs, standardizing them for consistency, and sharing best practices at staff meetings. It is essential to stay updated with the latest trends in health and safety and consistently implement these practices in the workplace. Your ultimate goal is to maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every staff member adheres to safety protocols and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure 100% compliance with statutory and legal requirements. - Strengthen safety awareness and safety culture through safety training and behavioral-based safety programs. - Introduce new ideas, innovations, and best practices to enhance safety performance. - Schedule and ensure compliance with safety audits (internal/external) across the site. - Conduct incident investigations and ensure timely closure of recommendations. - Monitor and track safety performance by analyzing leading and lagging safety indicators. - Manage work permits effectively, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Toolbox Talks (TBT), and Lockout-Tagout-Test-Out (LOTOTO) procedures. - Provide leadership and guidance to the safety team covering workplace safety, environmental safety, and fire safety. - Plan and implement safety promotional activities such as Safety Month and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) Month to enhance safety culture. - Comply with all process safety management requirements such as Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR). - Ensure the effective operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant to maintain zero liquid discharge. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Chemical Engineering and Diploma in Advanced Industrial Safety from MSBTE with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Required Skills: - Proficient in statutory compliance. - Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) - Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). - Familiarity with Environmental Management System (EMS) - Aspect-Impact analysis. - Understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) - PHA, MOC, PSSR. - Awareness of Fire Safety - compliance with IS requirements. - Experience in operating Effluent Treatment Plants including Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Multiple Effect Evaporation (MEE) operations. - Competent in Environment Management practices. As a safety personnel, you are expected to possess leadership competencies such as effective communication skills, excellent planning and organizing abilities, a sense of ownership, the capability to influence others, drive for results, and the skill to build and lead a team.,
