Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Position: EHS Officer /Engineer

Location : Manesar

Report To : Head Quality

Key Responsibilities

1. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

• Develop and Implement EHS policies, procedures, and risk control measures.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA), Aspect/ Impact, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, local laws).
• Lead incident/accident investigations, root-cause analysis, and maintain records.
• Conduct safety training, emergency drills, and awareness programs.
• Perform regular site inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.
• Maintain waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure availability of PPE and enforce safe working practices.
• Reduction in incidents/accidents (TRIR, LTIR)
• Audit scores (internal & external)
• Number of NCRs & CAPA closure rate
• Compliance level with EHS & QA standards
• Training hours delivered

2. Quality Management

• Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 QMS).
• Conduct 3P Audits, documentation audits, process inspections, and quality checks.
• Monitor key quality metrics, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product and service quality.
• Support customer audits

Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety legislation, standards, and QMS requirements
• Risk assessment and risk mitigation
• Root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.)
• Audit planning and execution
• Emergency response management
• Document control and QMS documentation

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and training ability
• Team coordination, Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to enforce compliance and influence behavior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Industrial Safety, or related field
• Certifications (preferred) : ISO 14001 and 45001 Internal or Lead Auditor
• Experience: 5 - 8 years
