Job Description

Job Title: HSE & S - Officer Location: Food Blending Unit – Bhiwandi Reports to: Manager - QSHE Function: Health, Safety, Environment & Security Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure that the guidelines are followed, and report any non-compliance issues, both short term and long term Ensure that in the event that local regulation is more stringent than the guideline, local regulation is followed at any time, and that non-compliance issues are reported in writing as above Implement BT-IN HSE & S strategy to meet the requirements of APAC QSHE strategy Assist in the development of Quality, health, safety and environment system to meet requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards Assist in the development of Quality, health, safety and environment system to meet requirements of Responsible Care certification standard Assist in implementation of corporate QSHE guidelines and various initiatives such as zero chemical exposure, Fire safety, AIPSM Identify and mitigate risks associated with work. Undertake safety inspections and audits Assist in Incident investigation and root cause analysis of accidents / incidents To encourage employees near miss reporting and ensure closure of actions for Near misses To ensure management of change is followed for all changes at sites To prepare safety operating procedures To conduct periodical emergency preparedness mock drills To ensure pollution control board consent conditions compliance with periodical submission of returns, environmental statement To ensure safe chemical delivery guidelines are followed by warehouses, transporters To assist Job 7 reporting with actions to reduce Job 7 cases by implementing proper CAPA Assist for licenses renewal and compliances under FSSAI, FDA, Pollution Control board, Factory inspector, Legal and Metrology, waste management Implement HSE & S management system for proposed project expansion at Food blending, application labs, To conduct various safety awareness trainings, safety day celebration, environment day celebration Job Requirement/Specification: - Education: B. Sc./ M. Sc. Chemistry/ Environmental Science + Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years Working experience in the chemical industry Show more Show less
