Key Responsibilities – QC & QA Quality Control (QC) Testing and Inspection:Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Perform inspections of food and packaging materials at various stages of production to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Data Analysis:Analyze test data and compile reports detailing results and deviations. Maintain accurate records of all QC activities and findings. Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure laboratory and manufacturing equipment is calibrated and maintained according to established protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with testing equipment. Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies (e.g., FSSAI, Weights and Measures, FSMS).Participate in internal and external audits as needed. Quality Assurance (QA) Process Monitoring:Monitor production processes to ensure products meet manufacturing specifications and quality standards. \Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures. Provide support for new product development (NPD) and applications from pre-commercialization to scale-up. Manage changes in the Food industry or FSMS culture. Documentation:Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals in line with the latest FSMS requirements. Review and approve batch records and other production-related documentation. Conduct internal audits, vendor validations, and verifications as per the required frequency and FSMS requirements. Monitor pest control services and activities. Create, control, and implement reports on cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene. Training:Train production staff on quality control and quality assurance procedures and protocols. Ensure staff members are aware of and adhere to food safety and quality standards. Develop training schedules according to general and specific requirements. Monitor the effectiveness of quality training programs. Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead the implementation of various quality tools and methodologies. > Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in quality management and FSMS (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001, BRC, FSSC, HACCP) are preferred.
