Job Summary

The EHS Officer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures throughout the 3-year ground-mounted tracker-based photovoltaic (PV) and power project. The candidate will be pivotal in promoting a safe and healthy work environment aligned with international standards and local regulations, minimizing risk, and ensuring continuous monitoring and reporting of EHS performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and standards in line with NEBOSH, ISO, OSHA, and local Uzbek regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental impact assessments.
• Drive awareness, training, and communication programs to ensure all personnel are compliant with EHS guidelines.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance with recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders on EHS matters ensuring strict compliance.
• Prepare and maintain mandatory documentation including experience letters, education certificates, permits, and licenses.
• Facilitate regulatory inspections and liaison with government and environmental agencies.
• Lead emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• NEBOSH Certification is mandatory.
• Proven experience as an EHS professional in solar PV and power project environments, ideally with ground-mounted tracker systems.
• Experience with international and local EHS standards, audits, and compliance.
• Strong ability to interpret and implement safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
• Experience working on multi-year large-scale renewable energy projects preferred.
• Must have experience letters for all previous roles with matching education certificates.
