English Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and passionate English Faculty member to design and deliver high-impact curriculum for students preparing for major competitive examinations in India, including Banking (IBPS, SBI, RBI), SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, Steno), Railways (RRB NTPC, Group D), and other state-level competitive exams. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the specific English Language and Comprehension sections of these exams, with a proven track record of helping students achieve high scores. Key Responsibilities, Curriculum Development & Content Creation: Design, develop, and update comprehensive study modules, lesson plans, and teaching materials strictly aligned with the latest exam patterns and syllabi. Create high-quality practice questions, quizzes, mock tests, and solution explanations. Develop shortcuts, tricks, and methodologies for topics like Error Spotting, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Phrase Replacement. Teaching & Instruction: Deliver engaging, interactive, and result-oriented classroom/online lectures. Simplify complex grammar and comprehension concepts for students from diverse educational backgrounds. Focus on conceptual clarity, speed, and accuracy—key pillars for competitive exam success. Conduct doubt-clearing sessions, revision classes, and strategy workshops. Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student performance through tests and assignments. Provide personalized feedback and remedial action plans to help students improve. Analyze test data to identify common weaknesses and adapt teaching strategies. Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor students on exam strategy, time management, and stress management. Stay updated on all changes in exam patterns, notification dates, and eligibility criteria to provide accurate guidance. Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with the academic team and faculty of other subjects to ensure integrated learning. Contribute to the development of digital learning content (video lectures, PDFs, blogs). Participate in faculty development programs and workshops. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s degree in English (MA English) or a related field (BA English Hons. with exceptional experience may be considered). Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience teaching English specifically for Banking, SSC, and/or Railways competitive exams in a recognized coaching institute or ed-tech platform. In-depth knowledge of the question patterns, difficulty levels, and marking schemes of the target exams. Exceptional command over English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. Strong communication and presentation skills. Preferred: Prior experience in content writing/question banking for competitive exams. Proficiency in using digital teaching tools (online whiteboards, LMS, Google Classroom, Zoom/MS Teams). A personal high score/rank in any of the mentioned competitive exams is a significant advantage. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification.
