English Teacher (TGT/PGT) — Pan-India

Role Summary

Teach English Language & Literature with strong focus on reading, writing, speaking, and grammar. Drive consistent board/exam outcomes using activity-based learning, assessments, and data-led remediation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan & deliver syllabus-aligned lessons (prose/poetry, grammar, writing—letters, reports, essays, notices, articles).
  • Build student proficiency in

    Listening & Speaking

    (ASL), pronunciation/phonics, public speaking, debates, theatre.
  • Design assessments: class tests, board-pattern papers, rubrics for writing tasks; analyze results and run remediation.
  • Create academic resources: worksheets, question banks, PPTs, reading lists; maintain lesson plans & records.
  • Integrate tech (Smart Board/LMS/Google Classroom/Language Lab); track attendance and performance data.
  • Manage classroom discipline; differentiate for mixed abilities and special needs accommodations.
  • Lead/assist English or Literary Club, assemblies, competitions (elocution, MUN/debate, dramatics).
  • Conduct PTMs and share progress/action plans with parents.
  • Contribute to academic audits and teacher training as needed.
Qualifications
  • TGT:

    B.A. (English)

    +

    B.Ed. (as per board norms); CTET/TET preferred.
  • PGT:

    M.A. (English)

    +

    B.Ed. preferred; prior XI–XII handling desirable.
  • Strong English communication (spoken & written); Hindi/regional language is a plus.
  • TEFL/CELTA/IELTS Trainer (nice-to-have for Spoken/IELTS batches).
Experience Bands (All welcome)
  • Fresher (0–1 yr):

    Strong subject command, demo/micro-teaching readiness, trainable.
  • Junior (1–3 yrs):

    Independent class handling, paper setting, ASL facilitation.
  • Mid (3–7 yrs):

    Proven board outcomes, mentoring juniors, club/event leadership.
  • Senior (7+ yrs):

    HOD/Coordinator track, curriculum design, quality audits, teacher training.

Compensation (Guidance; varies by city/institute)
  • Fresher: ₹2.4–4.2 LPA
  • 1–3 yrs: ₹3–6 LPA
  • 3–7 yrs: ₹5–9 LPA
  • 7+ yrs / HOD: ₹8–14 LPA+
