English Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. This position requires a strong commitment to curriculum development and an understanding of diverse teaching methodologies to meet the needs of all learners.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach various aspects of the English language, including literature, writing, grammar, and composition.
• Utilize instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences.
• Mentor and support students in their academic pursuits, providing guidance on writing skills and literacy education.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress.
• Provide tutoring and additional support for students needing extra assistance.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives.
• Engage in research and stay updated on best practices in education and linguistics.
• Participate in academic advising and provide resources for higher education opportunities.

Skills

• Strong writing skills with proficiency in AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and copy editing.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Background in journalism or creative writing is a plus.
• Familiarity with learning technology and instructional design tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education needs.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and mentoring practices.
• Classroom experience in both private school settings and higher education teaching is preferred.

Pay: ₹48,853.31 - ₹58,834.09 per year
