• 12-15 year of work experience in auto ancillary, tool manufacturing, or ball manufacturing industry
• Experience in managing shopfloor with blue-collar workforce.

Responsibilities

Engineering manager will work closely with Global Operations Organisation (GOO) and Plant teams for delivering on Capacity enhancement, Productivity improvement & Technology upgrade projects for TN India plants.

Broad responsibilities will include.

• Design projects and lead in implementation for efficiency improvements like: Cycle Time and Throughput Time reduction, SMED, Waste Elimination, Kaizens, Supplies cost reduction, Raw Material Yield Improvements, Labour Productivity Improvements, Process Standardisation, Manufacturing Tool design and raw material grade improvements, Line Layout Improvements, Projects based on Internal and External Benchmarking process, Champion Asset Utilization and productivity improvement projects in alignment with GOO priorities and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper CAPEX Budget design and its implementation based on cost benefit analysis of IRR, NPV & Payback calculations.
• Develop and deploy comprehensive plans to maximize asset utilization.
• Prepare and manage Capital budgets and Capital Expenditure Proposals
• Collaborate with Operations Teams to drive line efficiencies while reducing waste.
• Design plant Utility and Manufacturing facilities to support manufacturing footprint designs.
• Manage engineering contractors while ensuring statutory and legal compliance.
• Create and implement continuous improvement plans for Energy and Heat treatment.
• Own safety for all project-related operations, maintaining and establishing safe working procedures.
• Ensure all project work meets the highest quality standards at the lowest possible cost.
• Oversee Projects & Innovation budgets.
• Lead Improvement projects as per timelines and ensure timely and successful completion. Provide regular project updates and present data to the Leadership groups. Use Six Sigma tools and CFT approaches.
• Support Operations Stabilization for new machines and new lines, basis established productivity parameters.
• Be active team member in various cross functional / business key projects and contribute as per business needs.
• Implement and manage Engineering standards across the plants.
• Coach and develop teams on technology matters.
• Create manufacturing standards and Standard Operating Procedures
• Upgrade manufacturing equipment with Kaizens, Innovations, and technology upgradations.
• Develop & maintain the complete data of manufacturing standards with version controls.
• Upgrade knowledge continuously on product manufacturing and service and then train necessary employees for knowledge transfer.
• Champion Cost Saving Project Management from Budget to Actuals to 5-year forecasts.
