Navi’s Engineering team builds the backbone of our financial products. We operate as cross-functional teams that work closely with Product, Data, and Business functions to deliver reliable, high-performance systems at scale. Our engineers focus on solving real-world challenges through scalable architecture, automation, and long-term thinking, along with providing quality feedback - ensuring every Navi product is built to serve millions efficiently and seamlessly.

What We Expect From You

• Lead and mentor a team of ~10 engineers

  , creating a collaborative, growth-oriented, and high-performance environment.

• Manage all aspects of your

  team’s employee lifecycle

  - including performance reviews, providing feedback, compensation discussions, and leave approvals.

• Set clear goals and expectations

  for individuals and the team; continuously track performance and coach for improvement.

• Drive execution of technical deliverables

  with a focus on quality, timely delivery, and long-term impact.

• Collaborate with business, product, compliance and HR stakeholders

  to align engineering initiatives with company goals.

• Provide strong technical direction

  and hands-on support to ensure delivery of scalable and robust solutions.

• Identify potential project risks

  , remove blockers, and ensure consistent project momentum.

• Champion production excellence

  - including observability, monitoring, and debuggability of systems.

• Support hiring efforts

  through workforce planning, interviewing, and evaluation - with a strong focus on building a diverse and skilled team.

Must Haves

Technical Skills

• 5-7+ years of experience as

  Devops / SRE / Platform Engineer.

• 2+ years of experience managing high-performance, sustainable teams.
• Expertise in managing

  large-scale cloud

  (preferably AWS and Oracle).
• Expertise in managing production-grade

  Kubernetes

  clusters.
• Strong skills in

  network services and protocols

  such as DNS, TLS/SSL, etc
• Solid understanding of

  security

  - network, service configurations, access control, IAM, etc.
• Deep knowledge & experience with

  Unix / Linux

  operating systems internals (Eg. filesystems, user management, etc).
• Expertise in skill sets for

  centralized

  logging

  systems

  , metrics, and tooling frameworks such as ELK, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana, etc.
• Skilled in managing and building high-scale API gateways, service meshes, and related infrastructure components.
• Proficiency in system monitoring, incident management, and driving

  operational

  excellence

  through metrics.
• Solid understanding of

  SDLC best practices

  (code reviews, testing, CI/CD, on-call processes).
• Good understanding of

  infrastructure cost drivers

  and ways to keep costs low
