This team is responsible for building and scaling the systems that gather and process vast amounts of web data.You will manage a talented team of engineers, setting the technical vision and driving the execution of a roadmap. You will be a player-coach, a strategic thinker, and a master of execution who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment. We need a leader who has a strong bias for action and can inspire their team to deliver with both speed and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through coaching and mentorship.
- Partner with product to define the strategy and roadmap for our web scraping and data integration platforms.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, breaking down ambiguity, removing roadblocks, and ensuring your team consistently meets its goals.
- Champion engineering excellence, architectural best practices, and operational rigor. Ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI/ML techniques to solve complex data extraction challenges, improve system efficiency.
- Serve as the key communication bridge between your team and stakeholders, clearly articulating vision, progress, and risks.
- Actively engage in hiring and retention strategies, including defining or updating role responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Guide the team in strategic planning, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with company-wide initiatives.
- Facilitate a culture of innovation where team members contribute to both "what to build" and "how to build".
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years in engineering management..
- Deep technical expertise in the web scraping and data integration domain, including challenges like anti-bot measures, scalability, and data quality.
- Proficiency with modern tech stacks (e.g., Python, Go, AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI/ML models to solve practical business problems
- Exceptional project management skills and a history of delivering high-impact projects on time.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team and manage stakeholders effectively.
- A strong sense of ownership and a bias for action mindset; you are proactive, decisive, and thrive on getting things done.
