Electrical Engineer

Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 8– 10 years (preferably in solar power projects)

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in solar power projects (Rooftop / Ground-mounted). The role includes site supervision, coordination with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the project team in achieving timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and electrical layouts for solar installations.
• Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, earthing, and lightning protection designs.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components – inverters, transformers, switchgear, panels, and SCADA systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and local regulations (CEA, MNRE, DISCOM).
• Coordinate with design, civil, and mechanical teams for smooth project execution.
• Perform inspections and quality checks for electrical materials and workmanship.
• Handle liaison with local electricity boards for net metering, synchronization, and statutory approvals.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during project execution and operation phases.
• Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning records.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for operational solar plants.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (both rooftop and ground-mounted).
• Hands-on experience with inverters, transformers, LT/HT panels, and SCADA.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
• Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in EPC / Renewable Energy companies.
• Exposure to large-scale solar projects (1 MW and above).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
