Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven Junior Accountant with 3 years of relevant experience to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day accounting functions including ledger management, reconciliations, data entry, invoice processing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and process day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes including invoice generation and follow-ups.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns (TDS, GST, etc.) in compliance with applicable laws.
• Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and records.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Work closely with the senior accountant and finance team for month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities when required.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Understanding of statutory compliance such as GST, TDS, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BBA with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
• 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in a similar role.
