Job Description – EHS & Operations ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic EHS & Operations Manager to lead initiatives across Safety, Environment, Health, Administration, Project Management, and Coordination functions. The role requires strong leadership, compliance knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across all business areas.
Key Responsibilities1. SafetyDevelop and implement HIRAC, JSA, PSM, Emergency Preparedness Plans, Training Documents.
Prepare and maintain SOPs/Task Lists for Operations & Maintenance with a safety focus.
Drive safety initiatives including Near Miss reporting, Unsafe Act/Condition reporting, Toolbox Talks, PTW, LOTO, Mock Drills, 5S, and monthly safety themes.
Conduct safety trainings, refresher programs, BBS sessions, and mass awareness campaigns.
Manage internal/external safety audits and ensure legal compliance.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
Organize employee engagement activities – Safety Week, Competitions, Awareness Drives.
Promote innovative safety practices – PSE, Cross Audit Functions, Recognition Programs, HSE Index.
Recommend engineering controls for safety enhancements.
Monitor and review safety performance with stakeholders.
Manage and track safety costs and budgets.
2. EnvironmentImplement engineering controls and modifications for environmental safety improvements.
Monitor environmental performance parameters to ensure compliance with norms.
Oversee upkeep, maintenance, and inspection of environmental systems & equipment.
Conduct awareness programs and training sessions on environmental practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
3. HealthOversee health monitoring and well-being programs for engineers and associates.
4. OperationsPlan and execute plant shutdowns efficiently and safely.
5. AdministrationMaintain documentation (Logbooks, MIS, Training Records, Material Management).
Build and develop high-performing teams and talent pools.
Design and execute technical & refresher training modules (3-day, 8-day, 30-day, etc.).
Promote multi-skilling through overlapping responsibilities.
Drive Business Excellence initiatives (QC Projects, Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, 5S).
Lead planning, analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities.
Mentor teams through coaching, handholding, and leadership development.
Foster organizational branding, image building, and stakeholder engagement.
