Position Overview
We're looking for a hands-on Ecommerce/Business Manager who will function as a buyer and brand manager for our Superhero Toy Store. This role focuses on managing sales performance, handling purchasing from existing suppliers, tracking competitors, and supporting marketing initiatives. You'll be the bridge between sales and operations, ensuring we have the right products at the right time while keeping an eye on the market.
What You'll Do Daily
Sales Management & Analysis
Monitor daily and weekly sales performance across all ecommerce channels
Analyze sales trends and identify best-sellers and slow-movers, manage and price inventory accordingly
Track SKU-level and brand level performance and make recommendations on pricing adjustments
Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports with insights and action items
Identify sales opportunities and gaps in our product mix
Work with the owner on promotional planning and execution
Coordinate product launches and campaigns with the team
Resolve escalated issues affecting sales (platform issues, listing problems, etc.)
Purchasing & Supplier Management
Manage day-to-day purchasing operations with existing suppliers
Place purchase orders based on sales forecasts and inventory levels
Maintain strong relationships with current vendor contacts
Track order status, follow up on shipments, and resolve delivery issues
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements
Flag inventory needs and reorder points to prevent stockouts
Coordinate with operations team on receiving and quality checks
Competitive Intelligence
Track competitor pricing, promotions, and product offerings
Identify growth opportunities
Stay updated on industry news and superhero entertainment releases
Brand & Marketing Support
Manage product listings - optimize titles, descriptions, and images
Coordinate with designer/photographer on product content needs
Plan and execute promotional calendars (sales, discounts, seasonal campaigns)
Track performance of marketing campaigns and promotions
Maintain brand consistency across all product listings and communications
Suggest promotional ideas based on sales data and market trends
Coordinate with social media/marketing on product highlights and launches
Business Coordination
Work closely with the owner as an understudy and operational right-hand
Collaborate with operations head on inventory logistics
Interface with customer service team on product-related escalations
Maintain organized dashboards and trackers for sales and inventory
Support the owner in business planning with data and insights
What We're Looking For
Required:
2-4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, ecommerce, or brand management
Strong analytical skills - comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets for sales analysis
Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders
Understanding of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, marketplace dynamics)
Proven ability to analyze sales data and make inventory decisions
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal coordination
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Preferred:
Background in retail buying or category management
Experience in toys, collectibles, or consumer products
Knowledge of superhero franchises, comics, and pop culture
Familiarity with competitive analysis tools and market research
Experience with promotional planning and execution

Job Details
Salary: ₹40,000 - 50,000 per month
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Founder
Team: Works alongside Operations Head, Customer Service Executive, and Marketing team
