Job Title: E-Commerce Manager Department: Marketing / Sales / Digital Reports To: Head of Marketing / Managing Director / CEO Job Summary The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the company’s online sales strategy. This role focuses on driving website traffic, improving conversion rates, managing product listings, ensuring an exceptional user experience, and maximizing revenue through all digital sales channels. Key Responsibilities1. Strategy & Planning Develop and implement the overall e-commerce strategy aligned with company goals. Analyze consumer trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Plan seasonal promotions, campaigns, and pricing strategies to boost sales. 2. Website & Platform Management Oversee daily operations of the e-commerce website and marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa). Ensure accurate product listings, descriptions, and inventory management. Collaborate with developers/designers to enhance user experience and website performance (SEO, speed, mobile optimization). 3. Digital Marketing & Traffic Growth Manage online advertising (Google Ads, Meta, Instagram, and affiliate marketing). Coordinate SEO and SEM initiatives to improve organic traffic. Work with the marketing team to develop engaging email and social media campaigns. 4. Sales & Performance Analytics Track KPIs such as conversion rate, average order value (AOV), cart abandonment, and customer acquisition cost (CAC). Prepare weekly and monthly reports with insights and action plans for continuous improvement. Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, etc.) to make data-driven decisions. 5. Customer Experience & Support Ensure seamless online customer journey — from product discovery to post-purchase service. Coordinate with logistics and support teams for timely deliveries and issue resolution. Collect customer feedback and implement improvements. 6. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage and mentor the e-commerce team (content writers, designers, data analysts). Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, logistics, and product teams. Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of digital marketing , SEO , and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.). Proficient in analytics tools and Excel/Google Sheets for performance tracking. Excellent communication and project management skills. Creative thinker with commercial acumen and attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in e-commerce, preferably in retail, FMCG, or luxury goods. Experience managing online stores, marketplaces, and digital campaigns .
