About the Role

This role owns both the product catalogue and the accuracy of inventory across the brand’s e-commerce ecosystem. You will ensure every product is listed correctly, visually appealing, optimized for search, and supported by accurate stock data. This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, operations, and marketing—critical for delivering a smooth shopping experience and maximizing revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Catalogue Management

  • Create, upload, update, and maintain product listings across the website and marketplaces.
  • Manage product attributes, variants, SKU mapping, category structures, and taxonomy.
  • Ensure all listing information—titles, descriptions, specs, pricing—is complete and accurate.
  • Update product listings, offers, and sales promotions on the website

Content & SEO Optimization

  • Optimize product titles, descriptions, and metadata for better search visibility.
  • Ensure product images/videos follow brand standards and platform requirements.
  • Coordinate with design teams to update visual assets when needed.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across the website, warehouses, and marketplaces.
  • Monitor stock movement daily and ensure real-time sync across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/supply chain teams for GRNs, stock adjustments, and replenishment schedules.
  • Flag low-stock or out-of-stock items to marketing and merchandising teams.
  • Manage buffer stock rules to avoid overselling and penalties on marketplaces.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly inventory health reports (aging inventory, fast/slow movers, discrepancies).
  • Work closely with finance/operations for periodic stock audits and reconciliation.

Quality Control

  • Conduct regular listing audits to fix errors (images, specs, tags, broken links).
  • Identify duplicate SKUs or mapping errors and correct them promptly.

Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor product-level performance (CTR, conversions, impressions, session patterns).
  • Identify underperforming listings and optimize content to improve results.
  • Share analytics-based insights with marketing, design, and merchandising teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support marketing with accurate data for campaigns, new launches, and landing pages.
  • Work with tech to improve catalogue workflows and PDP/PLP experience.
  • Coordinate with operations for stock availability, inwarding issues, and demand planning inputs.

Skills & Requirements

  • 2–5 years' experience in e-commerce catalogue and/or inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems, product taxonomy, and e-commerce CMS tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, bulk uploads).
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Ability to collaborate with merchandising, operations, marketing, and tech teams.

Good to Have

  • Experience with fashion/lifestyle or D2C businesses.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.
  • Understanding of GA4, marketplace analytics, or demand forecasting basics.
