Accounting Manager

About the Job

This is a role encompassing accounting and basic business intelligence in a young e-Commerce team. We are seeking a team member who will be an energetic, process driven, detailed and accurate. The candidate will be responsible for handling the finances and supporting a team that will be selling items on our website, and other offline channels.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations including Invoicing, A/R, A/P & GL's.
• Have an understanding of the Indian tax laws and regulations. 
• Manage inventory & COGS accounting, including reconciliation of inventory accounts.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes and prepare timely financial statements.
• Support the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly reviews.
• Perform financial reviews, provide actionable insights and follow up to implementation.
• Manage and coordinate end-to-end audits of 3rd party service providers, including vendor selection and monthly review of payments versus activity.
• Establish strong internal controls over sourcing and payment processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance (Added weightage for CA, ICWA, CFA, MCom).
• 4+ years of relevant financial or accounting experience. 
• Experience in an e-commerce environment is strongly preferred.
• Highly proficient in Zoho Books and Excel, including pivot tables. Ability to build insightful reports from multiple data sources.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
