Job Description

LOCATION: NEAR Raipur, Chhattisgarh (with extensive travel to surrounding road construction and mining sites)

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager / Proprietor

JOB Details: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Daily Sales Representative (DSR) to manage and grow our sales of genuine Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) parts. The DSR will primarily focus on building strong relationships and achieving sales targets with road construction and mining contractors in and around the Chhattisgarh region. This role requires extensive field work, strong technical understanding of HCV parts, and excellent communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify, prospect, and acquire new road construction and mining contractors as customers.

    • Maintain and grow relationships with existing contractor clients, understanding their fleet requirements (e.g., specific Tata Prima, Signa, Ashok Leyland U-Series, Captain, Tippers, etc.) and parts consumption patterns.

    • Conduct regular on-site visits to contractor project sites (road construction, mining quarries) to understand their operational needs and offer suitable parts solutions.

    • Present product information, demonstrate benefits of genuine parts, and provide competitive quotations.

    • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale in line with company policies.


  • Market Intelligence:


    • Collect and report on market trends, competitor activities (pricing, new products, service offerings), and customer feedback.

    • Identify potential for new product lines or services based on market demand.


  • Customer Service & Support:


    • Address customer inquiries, resolve product-related issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.


    • Coordinate with the internal sales support, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of parts.


    • Provide basic technical guidance on parts application and maintenance if required.

  • Reporting & Administration:


    • Prepare and submit accurate Daily Sales Reports (DSRs) outlining sales achieved, customer visits, new leads, market intelligence, and challenges faced. (As detailed in the previous response).

    • Maintain a detailed customer database including contact information, purchase history, and fleet details.

    • Manage outstanding payments and ensure timely collections from assigned accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile preferred), Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant business/sales discipline.


  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2-5 years of proven sales experience in commercial vehicle parts (HCV preferred), auto components, or related industrial products.

    • Prior experience selling to road construction companies, mining contractors, or fleet owners is highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with HCV parts and specifications is a strong plus.
