Position Overview

Drone Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor drone spraying operations across assigned regions.
• Ensure drones are deployed efficiently and as per operational requirements.
• Supervise pilots, field staff, and operational logistics.
• Utilize DJI Terra and Terra Pro for precision mapping, data analysis, and report generation.
• Prepare field reports, analyse spraying effectiveness, and provide actionable insights for farmers and clients.
• Develop marketing strategies to promote drone spraying services in rural and semi-urban markets.
• Engage with farmers, FPOs, and agri-business stakeholders to expand service adoption.
• Drive overall revenue generation by maximising the use of available resources.
• Overlook and coordinate the activities of the Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) run by the company.
• Ensure compliance with DGCA guidelines and smooth functioning of training operations.
• Manage training schedules, trainee coordination, and trainer performance.
• Ensure adherence to DGCA regulations and company safety standards.
• Oversee drone maintenance, licensing, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
• Hands-on knowledge of drone operations and DJI Terra / Terra Pro software.
• Strong experience in field deployment, team leadership, and marketing.
• Knowledge/experience in RPTO operations and DGCA norms will be an added advantage.
• Ability to create strategies for scaling operations and revenue growth.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively to field sites.
