Director, FP&A and Data Analytics
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned leader to serve as
Director of Analytics
for our India-based FP&A Reporting & Analytics team. This role will act as the
site leader
for the India team, focusing on
talent development, technical coaching, and alignment with global analytics standards
. While this role does not directly own US work deliverables, it plays a critical role in ensuring the India team is
skilled, engaged, and consistently delivering high-quality reporting and analytics support
for global FP&A stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
People & Team Leadership
- Serve as the leader for the India FP&A analytics team, representing the function locally.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and managers, fostering career growth and engagement.
- Build a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive recruiting, onboarding, and retention of top analytics talent in India.
Capability Development
- Provide technical and analytical coaching across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and BI analytics.
- Build structured training programs to upskill the team on tools (Power BI, SQL, Python), methods, and FP&A-relevant analytics practices.
- Partner with global leaders to standardize tools, processes, and definitions across sites.
- Ensure best practices in reporting automation, data visualization, and financial analytics are adopted consistently.
Global Partnership & Support
- Act as the India point-of-contact for US FP&A Reporting & Analytics leadership.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration and handoffs between India and US teams.
- Support alignment of India team output to US strategic priorities through technical guidance, quality checks, and issue resolution.
- Represent India’s voice in global forums, ensuring integration into global FP&A Reporting & Analytics strategy.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the India team consistently delivers accurate, timely, and standardized reporting packages.
- Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation for the India team, ensuring workload balance and scalability.
- Drive a culture of process improvement, automation, and efficiency in analytics delivery.
- Partner with Finance Capabilities and governance teams to ensure FP&A data is accurate, secure, and trusted.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or FP&A analytics, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong background in analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, Excel modeling).
- Demonstrated success in leading large analytics teams in a global, matrixed environment.
- Excellent people leadership skills – talent development, coaching, performance management.
- Strong understanding of FP&A concepts (forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
- Experience working with US counterparts in a follow-the-sun or shared-services model preferred.
