DevOps Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Specialist to design, build, and enhance enterprise monitoring , logging and event management platforms. The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, event-driven platforms, and open-source technologies. The engineer will collaborate with product integration, operations, and application teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient monitoring services.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain core components of Event Management, Logging and Monitoring services.

Develop event receivers, core processors, and APIs in Go, JavaScript/Angular, and related technologies.

Ensure high-availability deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Grafana.

Build automated pipelines for CI/CD and integration with monitoring services.

Create and manage APIs for onboarding logs, events, and monitoring metrics.

Support self-service capabilities for application and service owners.

Integrate with ITSM tools (ServiceNow), alerting systems (SMS, Email, MS Teams), and enterprise identity platforms (LDAP, OpenID, Kerberos/SSO).

Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and audit requirements.

Drive enhancements in event correlation, noise reduction, and automated remediation.

Evaluate emerging technologies for observability, monitoring, and log management.

Participate in performance benchmarking and system stress testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong programming experience in Go and scripting in Python/JavaScript.

Experience with products such as Datadog

Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana).

Solid understanding of monitoring stacks (TICK stack, InfluxDB, Grafana).

Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Bamboo), and Git workflows.

Proven experience with event management systems, centralized logging, and monitoring automation.

Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and disaster recovery strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in IT service monitoring (EVA, MaaS, LaaS or similar).

Exposure to ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management).

Knowledge of resilience engineering and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
