ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented and creative Ecommerce Designer with exceptional skills in designing for ecommerce platforms to join our dynamic team. This role requires a designer who understands the unique requirements of online retail and can create visually compelling, conversion-focused designs that enhance user experience and drive sales. You will be responsible for designing product listings, promotional banners, email campaigns, landing pages, and other ecommerce assets that align with our brand identity and business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEcommerce Platform Design

  • Design high-converting product listing images, infographics, and A+ content for ecommerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.)
  • Create compelling storefront designs and brand stores that enhance customer experience
  • Design category banners, homepage sliders, and promotional graphics optimized for conversion
  • Develop product comparison charts, size guides, and informational graphics
  • Design mobile-responsive layouts ensuring seamless user experience across all devices
  • Create seasonal campaign visuals and promotional assets for sales events
  • Design email templates and newsletters optimized for ecommerce campaigns
  • Develop landing pages and microsites for product launches and special promotions

Product & Brand Design

  • Create product mockups, lifestyle images, and 3D renderings for online listings
  • Design product packaging graphics suitable for ecommerce presentation
  • Maintain and enhance brand consistency across all ecommerce touchpoints
  • Develop brand guidelines specific to ecommerce platforms
  • Create icon sets, badges, and trust symbols for product pages
  • Design social media assets to drive traffic to ecommerce platforms

User Experience & Conversion Optimization

  • Design with a focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience (UX)
  • Create clear call-to-action (CTA) buttons and conversion-focused elements
  • Design intuitive navigation elements and user interfaces
  • Conduct A/B testing on design elements to improve performance
  • Analyze design performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Ensure designs are optimized for fast loading times and performance

Marketing & Promotional Design

  • Design promotional banners for sales events (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, seasonal sales)
  • Create email marketing designs with strong visual hierarchy and CTAs
  • Design retargeting ads and display advertising for ecommerce campaigns
  • Develop gift guides, lookbooks, and product catalogs
  • Create social media graphics aligned with ecommerce promotions

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Work closely with ecommerce managers, marketing team, and product teams
  • Collaborate with copywriters to create cohesive product presentations
  • Coordinate with developers for design implementation
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously with strict deadlines
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate designs efficiently

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design, or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience designing specifically for ecommerce platforms
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ecommerce design work with measurable results
  • Experience working with major ecommerce platforms (Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.)
  • Understanding of ecommerce best practices and platform-specific requirements
  • Experience in food industry, retail, or consumer goods is a plus

Technical Skills (Essential)

Design Software:

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with Figma or Adobe XD for UI/UX design
  • Knowledge of Canva for quick design iterations
  • Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus
  • 3D rendering software (Blender, Cinema 4D) is advantageous

Ecommerce Platform Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Amazon design requirements (A+ Content, Enhanced Brand Content, Storefront)
  • Experience with Shopify theme customization and design
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce design requirements
  • Knowledge of eBay, Etsy, and other marketplace design specifications
  • Understanding of platform image size requirements and technical specifications

Web & Digital:

  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for design implementation
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Knowledge of image optimization techniques for web
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and conversion tracking

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

Your portfolio must include:

  • Ecommerce product listing designs with before/after examples
  • Amazon A+ Content, Enhanced Brand Content, or Storefront designs
  • Email marketing designs for ecommerce campaigns
  • Landing page designs with clear conversion focus
  • Mobile-responsive design examples
  • Promotional banner and social media designs for ecommerce
  • Please include metrics/results where possible (conversion rates, engagement, etc.)

  • Quality and timeliness of design deliverables
  • Conversion rate improvements from design implementations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
