Job PurposeThe Deputy Vice President – Cluster Sales will be responsible for delivering high-volume credit card acquisition targets through diverse sourcing channels while ensuring profitability, operational excellence, compliance, and team performance across an assigned geographic cluster. This role involves driving premium card sales, cost optimization, partner management, and leading digital transformation initiatives within the sales ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Target Achievement (As per Goal Sheet / MOU)Deliver 1.5–3 lakh new credit card accounts annually with an optimal channel and product mix
Drive premium card acquisition (3K, 5K variants) for enhanced portfolio profitability
Boost insurance product cross-sell through integrated strategies
Achieve and control cost of acquisition (COA), improve productivity, and ensure optimal utilization of resources
2. Retail and Co-Brand Distribution ManagementExpand sales footprint via organized retail, premium venues (airports, malls, retail stores)
Build strong co-brand sourcing pipelines (e.g., BPCL, Tata, Landmark, Nature’s Basket) through strategic partner engagement
Develop sourcing strategies for base variant cards in high-traffic areas (e.g., metro & railway stations)
Manage partner relationships, ensure smooth customer onboarding, and address escalations promptly
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Customer ExperiencePartner with internal teams (e.g., WE, Compliance, Ops) to streamline complaint handling and closure within TAT
Ensure VIP and sensitive cases are handled with priority and care
Collaborate for lifecycle management of NFTEs, training, and sales compliance enforcement
4. People Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead FTE & NFTE hiring aligned with business growth
Identify and groom critical talent, drive learning through coaching, mentoring, and structured training
Conduct regular territory travel, team reviews, performance appraisals, and on-ground support
Build succession planning by developing strong second-line leaders in NFTE structure
5. Strategic Projects & Digital TransformationLead digital sourcing adoption (e.g., BRE digital platform) for faster approvals and lower COA
Drive training and enablement for sales teams on new tools and digital workflows
Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement changes for operational efficiency
6. Productivity & Process ExcellenceEstablish productivity benchmarks for both FTEs and NFTEs across all channels
Implement robust review mechanisms to track performance and refine processes
Utilize available data and insights to maximize output per sourcing resource
7. Business Development & Market ExpansionIdentify new sourcing geographies, especially Tier 2 & 3 cities
Assess competitive moves, respond with real-time corrective action plans
Develop long-term growth strategies backed by market intelligence and industry benchmarking
8. Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure complete adherence to internal audit guidelines, regulatory norms, and compliance mandates
Implement policies laid out by WE, Compliance, and Audit teams without deviation

Qualifications & ExperienceGraduate/Postgraduate from a reputed institution (MBA preferred)
10+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in BFSI, Fintech, Retail, or Telecom
Proven track record in handling high-volume acquisition, team management, and partner ecosystems
