Job Description

Role Overview: As a Purchasing Manager at Rehlko, you will play a crucial role as a Sourcing/Commodity expert in off-highway application engines, focusing on commodities such as RM, Casting, Forging, Machining, and Proprietary components. Your responsibilities will include building strategies to establish and develop global and regional supplier relationships, leading evaluations and selections of suppliers, and driving competitive negotiations through detailed component costing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance and inclusive culture, manage the development of components, and drive cost reduction strategies to meet business goals. Additionally, you will be required to manage supplier contracts/agreements, forecast year-on-year capital/tooling spend with a high level of accuracy, and engage in 50% domestic travel. Key Responsibilities: - Build strategies to establish and develop supplier relationships globally and in the region - Focus on localization, resourcing, and supplier exits to derisk and provide cost-saving opportunities - Lead evaluation and selection of new and existing suppliers - Drive competitive negotiations through detailed component costing, ZBC, and Should costing - Manage cost/spend across all commodities and work with cross-functional teams for high performance - Track development cycle of components from 1st PO release to Production introduction - Collaborate with site/plant purchasing teams to support various situations - Implement cost reduction strategies and robust supply base strategies - Ensure quality, APQP, PPAP approval, and capacity planning activities with suppliers - Manage supplier contracts/agreements and engage in 50% domestic travel - Forecast year-on-year capital/tooling spend with 95% accuracy Qualifications Required: - Engineering Graduate with experience in core Purchasing/Supply chain & production planning - Post-graduation in engineering/management field will be an added advantage - 12 to 14 years of experience with no gap Additional Company Details: Rehlko, with over 100 years of experience, has been a pioneer in providing innovative energy solutions.
