Deputy General Manager

Key Responsibilities

A. Internal Audit Planning & Execution

• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and operational risks.
  
• Lead the development of a

  risk-based annual audit plan

  covering S/4HANA-specific risks, workflows, and system dependencies.
• Plan, execute, and monitor

  financial, operational, IT & compliance audits

  .
• Assess effectiveness of internal controls, including:
  
• SAP S/4HANA embedded controls
  
• GRC, workflows, automated approval matrix
  
• Segregation of Duties (SoD)
  
• Data integrity
  
• Conduct end-to-end audits of SAP-driven processes:
  

• P2P, O2C, R2R

• Inventory & Warehouse
  
• Production Planning & Plant Maintenance
  
• Treasury & Asset Accounting
  

B. SAP S/4HANA Specific Audit Responsibilities

• Review

  transactional flows, master data governance, Fiori apps

  , and embedded analytics.
• Evaluate configuration controls, workflow validations, tolerance limits & automated rules.
  
• Conduct

  ITGC reviews

  access, change management, backup & recovery.
• Review SoD conflicts, critical access, and GRC rule sets.
  
• Assess integrations with:
  
• SAP Ariba / SuccessFactors / Concur
  
• Legacy systems & Non-SAP applications
  
• Use SAP audit tools:
  
• SAP Audit Trails
  
• SAP Queries / Analytical Apps
  
• SAP GRC Access Control / Process Control
  
• Embedded Analytics (CDS Views)
  

C. Advisory & Continuous Improvement

• Advise business teams on

  control design for system enhancements

  .
• Recommend standardization, automation, and workflow improvements.
  
• Support special investigations, forensic reviews &

  SAP data analytics

  .

D. Automation & Process Improvement

• Lead automation of audit routines, risk scoring, and dashboards.
  
• Integrate audit analytics & continuous monitoring with IT/business teams.
  
• Improve audit cycle efficiency through

  digitization & workflow automation

  .

E. Reporting & Communication

• Prepare audit findings with actionable insights & analytics.
  
• Present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  
• Monitor implementation of corrective action plans.
  

2. Knowledge Requirements

A. SAP S/4HANA Functional & Technical

• Strong process understanding across modules:

  FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, QM, EWM

  .
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, workflows, role-based access, and embedded analytics.
  
• Understanding of configuration concepts—posting rules, GR/IR, valuation, batch mgmt., pricing, etc.
  
• Knowledge of SAP MDG, master data risks & automated controls.
  

B. Internal Audit & Risk Management

• Strong foundation in

  risk-based auditing frameworks

  .
• Knowledge of COSO, COBIT, SOX (if applicable).
  
• Understanding of fraud risk management, forensic audit approaches.
  
• Experience analyzing SAP data flows & reporting architecture.
  

C. IT & Cybersecurity (Preferred)

• ITGC principles—access, change mgmt., backup, incident/problem mgmt.
  
• SAP SoD design, review & remediation.
  
• SAP GRC concepts—Access Control & Process Control.
  
• Basic cybersecurity risk awareness.
  

3. Skill Requirements

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA functional processes & controls.
  
• Understanding of Fiori apps, CDS views, workflow automation.
  
• Knowledge of COSO/COBIT/SOX frameworks.
  
• Strong SAP audit analytics capability.
  
• Data analytics expertise (Excel, Power BI, SAP analytics).
  
• Familiarity with RPA & workflow automation tools.
  

Analytical Skills

• Strong root cause and risk-impact analysis capability.
  
• Ability to link process/control gaps with operational/financial risks.
  
• Detect anomalies, patterns, and fraud indicators within SAP datasets.
  

Communication & Interpersonal

• Strong stakeholder management.
  
• Ability to present findings to senior management/CXOs.

Leadership & Management

4. Experience Requirements

• 10–15+ years in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or IT/Business Controls.
  
• 5+ years hands-on audit experience with

  SAP S/4HANA / ECC

  (S/4 exposure mandatory).
• Audit experience in:
  
• P2P / O2C / R2R
  
• Inventory, warehouse, production
  
• Treasury & asset accounting
  
• Compliance, ITGC audits
  
• Experience reviewing automated workflows, GRC rule sets, master data governance.
  
• Experience identifying & remediating

  SoD conflicts

  .
• Experience in data analytics & continuous monitoring.
  
• Exposure to multi-location operations, manufacturing or hospitality.
  

5. Qualification Requirements

Mandatory

• CA or B.Tech (CS)

Preferred Certifications

• CISA
  
• SAP S/4HANA Functional Certification (FI/MM/SD/PP/CO)
  
• SAP GRC Certification
  
• Risk Management / Data Analytics Certification
  
• ISO 27001 / ITIL (added advantage)
