Job description of Head -Production

Min Years of Experience: 12-15 Years (BE in Electronics / Electrical) in an Energy meter manufacturing company, at least last 5 years in leadership position.
Good knowledge about Smart meter manufacturing processes including SMT, PTH , moulding , assembly & testing .
Planning and organizing the assembly processes and resources to meet production targets efficiently with <100 ppm defects levels .
Having the knowledge of metering standard IS16444 and testing of energy meters
Having the knowledge of energy meter calibration and testing requirements.
Ensuring the quality of products by implementing and monitoring quality control measures.
Conducting inspections, tests, and audits to identify and rectify defects.
Leading and managing the assembly team, which includes technicians, operators, supervisors, and other production staff.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing measures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
Ensuring that assembly operations comply with safety standards and regulations. This involves implementing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Providing regular reports to senior management on production progress, efficiency, quality metrics, and any issues that may impact the assembly process.
Addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the assembly process, such as equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality issues.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the assembly processes. This includes production reports, quality control records, and other relevant documentation.
Facilitating communication between different departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality control, to ensure a seamless flow of information and collaboration.
Develop procedures, work instructions and standard training plans on new equipment operation, part processes and part quality inspection.

Ensure regular improvements in production processes, OEE & yield through DOE.
