Job Summary:
The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities at the depot, ensuring smooth transportation operations, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with customers and vendors, maintaining the fleet, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee day-to-day depot operations including fleet dispatch, driver management, and cargo handling.
· Ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced, and compliant with legal and safety requirements.
· Manage staff schedules, attendance, performance, and training at the depot.
· Monitor operational KPIs such as on-time deliveries, vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, and cost control.
· Maintain inventory of spare parts, fuel, and other depot-related supplies.
· Coordinate with transport planning, logistics, and customer service teams to meet delivery commitments.
· Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to company policies and government regulations.
· Handle customer complaints, escalations, and provide timely resolutions.
· Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
· Prepare and present depot performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
· 5–8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or depot management (fleet operations experience is a plus).
· Strong leadership and people management skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office and transport management systems (TMS).
· Knowledge of fleet maintenance, compliance, and safety regulations.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

· On-time dispatch and delivery performance.
· Fleet availability and utilization.
· Depot cost efficiency (fuel, maintenance, manpower).
· Compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.
· Staff productivity and retention.
· Customer satisfaction levels.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
