What would you do? The Loan Servicing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily servicing and maintenance activities for a portfolio of commercial loans, including bilateral, participated, and syndicated (agented and non-agented) facilities. The role ensures operational accuracy, compliance with credit agreements, and timely customer service delivery while guiding a team of servicing analysts. Develop and deliver core banking solutions for the applications that process the essential functions of banks, including account management, interest calculations, cash deposits and withdrawals processing, customer management and product management.
What are we looking for? 1. Loan Servicing Operations • Perform daily servicing activities for bilateral and participation loans, including fundings, renewals, paydowns, interest capitalization, and rate adjustments. • Maintain accurate and timely updates in servicing systems (Loan IQ, AFS, ACBS, nCino, or equivalent). 2. Participation & Syndicated Loan Servicing: • Manage both agented and non-agented participation structures, ensuring accurate communication and fund flows between participating institutions. • For agented deals, act as operational point of contact for participant banks—managing notices, interest rate resets, and remittance schedules. 3. Data Integrity & Documentation Control: • Review and validate loan setups, amendments, and servicing data against executed agreements. • Maintain complete servicing records, notices, and payment advices for audit readiness. Compliance & Risk Management: 4. Ensure adherence to internal policies, credit terms, and U.S. regulatory requirements (FDIC, OCC, SOX, etc.). • Identify and escalate discrepancies or potential control breaches promptly. • Support internal and external audits, control testing, and compliance reviews. •Account Reconciliations •Banking •Financial Services •Investment Banking •Adaptable and flexible •Written and verbal communication •Commitment to quality •Problem-solving skills •Oversee loan lifecycle activities — funding, payments, rate changes, rollovers, fee billing, paydowns, and renewals. •Lead and manage daily operations for commercial loan servicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. •Implement and monitor SLA, KPI, and control frameworks to ensure consistent servicing quality and client satisfaction. •Serve as escalation point for complex loan servicing issues, including reconciliations, system discrepancies, and documentation gaps. •Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Treasury, and Agency teams on operational readiness, amendments, and loan modifications. •Drive automation, workflow standardization, and process transformation to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency. •Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and management reporting. Mentor and develop team leaders and servicing analysts through ongoing coaching and performance management. Manage capacity planning, training, and succession planning to support business growth and continuity.
