Data Visualization Consultant - Tableau/Alteryx

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Alteryx, and other BI tools.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and visual stories that support decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, present insights, and ensure data transparency and alignment with business goals.
• Work with relational databases to extract and manipulate data for analysis and reporting.
• Optimize and automate reporting processes to enhance business efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Use Qlik, Power BI, and Python as needed to deliver robust, scalable visualization solutions.
• Apply knowledge of IQVIA healthcare datasets (e.g., TRx, NBRx, LAAD) to design meaningful visualizations for life sciences applications.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve digital and data processes through innovation and automation.
• Document processes, maintain code repositories, and ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data visualization and BI development.
• Proven expertise in Tableau and Alteryx; strong portfolio of past work preferred.
• Experience with other BI tools such as Qlik and Power BI.
• Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Python for data preparation, automation, or API integration.
• Experience working with IQVIA datasets (TRx, NBRx, LAAD) is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, usability, and performance.
• Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) is a plus.
• Certification in Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
