About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our FinTech - Data Science team and make significant contributions to our mission to streamline and optimize Uber’s financial infrastructure and processes. In this position, you will get an amazing opportunity to leverage advanced analytics including machine learning to play a critical role in implementing solutions for Treasury, a key pillar within Finance. Specifically, the role will focus on enabling Uber's Treasury team with its key objective of liquidity management by building models for cash flow forecasting, performing insights based analyses for optimization of treasury payments, building enhancements for the treasury data store, developing anomaly detection frameworks to ensure data quality etc. Besides liquidity management, Treasury is also responsible for managing foreign exchange exposure, investments, debt management etc., and as data scientist you will get a chance to help out with specific objectives in these areas.

You will work closely with senior leaders in Product, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting and Compliance on fast moving, high-stakes problems. A deep analytical passion and the ability to execute on key business priorities is a must for this role. Your performance is measured by the insights you give, effectiveness of communication, and the initiative to drive ideas and implement them into action.

  3. ssBuild ML models to forecast key metrics, automate detection of anomalies in the data, investigate and resolve the discrepancie
  4. s.Build effective visualizations to communicate data to key cross-functional peers and key decision-makers. Be a trusted advisor to stakeholder
  5. s.Explore FinTech systems/data to proactively identify and initiate process improvements for cost savings and efficiencie
  6. s.Get a deep understanding of financial systems and data flows involved; document and train junior data scientists to institutionalize the learnings of the data science practic

---- Basic Qualifications -

  1. ---Degree in Math, Economics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields with a minimum of 4+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equival

  4. honExperience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and testing, and model developm
