In This Role, You Will
- Shape how Cisco interacts with customers across channels like web, email, and events by gathering and analyzing real-time customer data.
- Deliver solutions that offer relevant, timely, and personalized experiences that foster engagement and retention.
- Build a holistic foundation for customer and account data, enabling targeted outreach and re-engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with product owners and other team members to align solution designs with the project objective and architectural principles.
- Review internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggest changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs
- Create documents, diagrams, and presentations to communicate solution designs and strategies to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Create and establish design standards and assurance processes for software, systems and applications development.
- Support enterprise-level data services by integrating with platforms such as GCP, Astra, Elastic Search, and Snowflake to deliver comprehensive insights into the customer journey.
- Collaborate with Cisco Marketing and other stakeholders to design scalable data platforms for managing contact and account master data.
- Leverage data to enhance customer and partner experiences, generate omnichannel demand, enrich contact data, and enable AI-driven insights and automation.
- Leveraging AI copilots to automate data validation and enrichment tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Astra DB (Cassandra), Elasticsearch, Apache Spark (Java), API development (Spring Boot, REST APIs), and related tools.
- Snowflake SQL for data modeling, writing efficient queries, and building tasks/streams.
- Apache Spark (Java) for large-scale data processing and transformation.
- Elasticsearch for indexing, search, and analytics.
- Astra DB for distributed database design and optimization.
- API development for data processing and integration.
- GCP Dataproc job orchestration and monitoring
- Familiarity with shell scripting, Git, Maven, CI/CD, and Control-M for automation and deployments.
- Experience using AI copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Snowflake Copilot, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global engineering and testing teams across multiple time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketing technologies (e.g., Contact Management, Data Platforms, Personalization, Customer Profile generation).
- Experience designing and implementing data models, managing imports/exports, and ensuring data integrity.
- Proven ability to build scalable data pipelines, manage large datasets, and uphold data quality for AI and analytics applications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with supporting AI and machine learning data requirements (AI-first mindset).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to executive audiences and translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Fluent in English.
