Data Analyst

Core responsibilitiesA data analyst's work typically follows a cyclical process, with key responsibilities at each stage:

• Data collection and management: They identify and gather relevant data from various sources, such as databases, surveys, and web applications. They also design and maintain databases and data systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Data cleaning and processing: Raw data often contains errors, inconsistencies, or missing values. The analyst cleans, organizes, and validates the data to prepare it for analysis, ensuring it is reliable and accurate.
• Data analysis and interpretation: Using statistical methods, they explore data to find trends, patterns, and correlations. This can include various types of analytics:
• Descriptive analytics: Summarizes past data to explain what happened.
• Diagnostic analytics: Investigates data to explain why something happened.
• Predictive analytics: Uses historical data to forecast future outcomes.
• Prescriptive analytics: Recommends specific actions to achieve better results.
• Data visualization and reporting: Analysts create visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to simplify complex findings. They prepare and present reports to stakeholders, explaining the insights in a clear, compelling manner.
• Collaboration and decision support: Analysts work closely with different departments—such as marketing, finance, and operations—to understand their data needs and help them make evidence-based decisions.

Experience:

• Data mining: 3 years (Required)
• Data analytics: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:
