Key Responsibilities

• System & Data Inventory:

  Identify, document, and maintain a catalog of data sources, systems, reports, and integrations across Finance and other domains.

• Data Mapping & Lineage:

  Trace and document data flow across systems, capture metadata (fields, frequency, direction), and support creation of lineage diagrams.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  Facilitate workshops/meetings with stakeholders to gather business and data requirements, definitions, and pain points.

• Reference & Master Data Cataloging:

  Record and maintain key master/reference data elements (e.g., policy, customer, product, broker) with clear ownership/stewardship.

• Documentation:

  Maintain well-structured and accessible data documentation using tools such as

  Confluence, Excel, and Lucidchart

  .

• Governance Roadmap:

  Provide inputs for gap analysis, solution design, and recommendations to strengthen governance practices.

• Tool Research & Evaluation:

  Assist in evaluating data governance/catalog/data quality tools (

  Collibra, Alation, Informatica

  ) and provide fit-gap analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

  8+ years overall, with

  5–6 years in Data Governance / Data Analyst roles

  .

• Domain Expertise:

  Prior work with

  large banks or insurance companies

  is required.

• Core Skills:

• Data Mapping, Lineage, and Documentation.
• SQL (basic to intermediate proficiency).
• Confluence, Excel, and Lucidchart for documentation.

• Communication:

  Exceptional communication skills (fluent, articulate, confident, English proficiency 9/10, no accent).

• Project Tenure:

  Stable work history with long project tenures.
• Strong knowledge of

  metadata, data management, and master/reference data concepts

  .
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a

  remote environment

  .

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with

  Data Governance frameworks

  (e.g.,

  DAMA-DMBOK

  ).
• Hands-on experience with data catalog/data quality tools (

  Collibra, Alation, Informatica

  ).
• Basic knowledge of

  data profiling tools

  and extended SQL capabilities.
