Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Costing & Analysis
• Prepare detailed cost sheets for each product/process.
• Determine material, labor, and overhead costs to establish accurate product costing.
• Identify cost drivers and suggest cost control measures.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Track actual expenses vs. budgeted expenses and analyze variances.
• Highlight areas of cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Inventory & Cost Control
• Maintain records of raw material, WIP, and finished goods cost.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
• Monitor wastages, rejections, and suggest methods for cost reduction.
• MIS & Reporting
• Prepare cost reports, profitability statements, and contribution analysis for management.
• Support management in pricing decisions by providing accurate cost data.
• Develop dashboards for tracking production cost efficiency.
• Compliance & Audit Support
• Ensure compliance with cost accounting records and statutory requirements.
• Support statutory audit, cost audit, and internal audit requirements.
• Maintain documentation for regulatory filings related to cost records.
• Value Addition
• Recommend strategies for improving cost competitiveness.
• Support decision-making on make-or-buy, product mix, and process improvements.
• Assist in financial planning for scaling operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• CMA qualified (preferably from ICMAI).
• 1–3 years of experience in costing, preferably in a manufacturing or small-scale setup.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally/ERP systems.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
