Cost Accountant

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant strong background in manufacturing and export operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for costing, budgeting, financial analysis, compliance, and taxation related to domestic and international transactions to join our manufacturing company and providing strategic insights to optimise financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and monitor production costs, raw material costs, labour expenses, and overheads.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and reports for better financial control.
• Prepare cost variance analysis and recommend cost-saving strategies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Export Documentation & Compliance.
• Handle export documentation, including Letter of Credit (LC), Bill of Lading (BL), and Shipping Bills.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, FEMA, and RBI guidelines.
• Liaise with banks, customs authorities, and freight forwarders.
• Manage export incentives like Duty Drawback, MEIS, and RoDTEP.
• Provide insights on pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Assist in financial reporting, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams for effective cost management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of costing principles, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP/Tally systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong understanding of GST, taxation, and compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and cost control techniques.
