Role & responsibilities 1. Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels. Monitor stock movements, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of materials received and dispatched. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies. 2. Supplier Management Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement. 3. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise the stores team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure smooth warehouse operations. 4. Warehouse Operations: Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Implement best practices for material handling, storage, and inventory control. Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with production schedules. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the stores operation. Preferred candidate profile Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
