About the Role

The Manager – Content and PR will be responsible for leading TRAI’s end-to-end content development and communication initiatives across PR, social media, and campaigns. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role requires exceptional command over language, the ability to translate complex telecom and technology subjects into engaging narratives, and a strategic understanding of communication planning and execution.

This role functions as the Manager – Content and PR lead within the communication team and works closely with the Project Manager, agency partners, TRAI officials, and digital teams to deliver impactful, consistent, and insight-driven communication. The role demands both creativity and precision, combining strong editorial capability with stakeholder management and campaign planning expertise

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy & Development

  • Lead the development of content across PR, social media, website, campaigns, speeches, videos, and other communication assets.
  • Craft messaging that translates complex telecom and technology concepts into accessible, engaging narratives.
  • Maintain content consistency, accuracy, and tone across all materials.
  • Review and approve drafts from other team members to ensure linguistic and conceptual integrity.

2. Public Relations & Media Communication

  • Draft press releases, statements, media responses, and event-related communication.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing PR strategies, pitches, and campaign narratives.
  • Coordinate with team members for dissemination and coverage tracking.
  • Own drafting briefing documents, FAQs, and post-event reports.

3. Communication Planning & Campaign Development

  • Assist in conceptualizing and planning integrated campaigns that align with TRAI’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with creative, research, and digital partners to ensure message synergy.
  • Track campaign performance metrics and share actionable insights for future planning.

4. Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Act as the coordination point between TRAI’s communication team, project partners, and external vendors.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to manage deliverables, approvals, and timelines.
  • Supervise junior communication staff or associates to ensure quality execution and adherence to deadlines.

5. Social Media & Digital Communication (Value Add)

  • Support social media planning, including content creation and performance review.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and propose content optimizations.
  • Understanding of telecom and technology sector

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–7 years of experience in content writing, public relations, or integrated communication (preferably in telecom, technology, or regulatory sectors).
  • Strong command of English — exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven understanding of India’s media and digital ecosystem.
  • Experience in planning and executing communication or outreach campaigns.
