Collections Executive

Job Summary: The Payment Collection Executive is responsible for following up with dealers/customers for outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection of dues, maintaining healthy receivables, and supporting the company’s credit control policies. The role involves building strong relationships with clients, resolving payment issues, and reducing overdue receivables. Key Responsibilities: • Regularly follow up with dealers/customers for pending payments via phone, WhatsApp, email. • Track and monitor outstanding dues against credit terms. • Send payment reminders, statements, and collection notices as per company policy. • Update payment receipts, collection status, and remarks in ERP/software (e.g., Marg ERP). • Coordinate with sales and accounts teams regarding customer credit limits and overdue accounts. • Reconcile customer accounts in case of discrepancies. • Escalate default/long-pending accounts to management for necessary action. • Maintain records of all communications and collections for audit purposes. • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely payment compliance. Skills & Competencies: • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Basic knowledge of accounting and billing. • Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (Marg ERP preferred). • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets. • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Qualifications & Experience: • Minimum Graduate in Commerce/Business or equivalent. • 1–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or sales coordination (preferred). • Freshers with good communication and aptitude may also be considered. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Percentage of outstanding collections recovered within due dates. • Reduction in overdue/aged receivables. • Dealer/customer satisfaction in payment follow-ups. • Accuracy in reporting and record maintenance.
