Collections Associate

Key Responsibilities:

• Reach out to customers via calls, emails, and messages to follow up on pending or overdue payments.
• Record and track all interactions, payment commitments, and updates in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Operations) to resolve payment disputes or discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely follow-ups as per company policy.
• Prepare and share periodic collection reports and updates with management.
• Handle customer escalations professionally and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
• Maintain an empathetic, professional tone in all customer interactions.
• Suggest and support process improvements to enhance overall collection efficiency.

Requirements:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.

• Experience:

  0–3 years in collections, receivables, or customer service (experience in EdTech, BFSI, or SaaS preferred).

• Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and persuasion ability
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and CRM tools
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
