We work closely with financial institutions and corporate clients to maximize recovery rates while maintaining professionalism and customer satisfaction. Job Summary The Collection Team Leader is responsible for supervising a team of debt recovery executives, driving recovery performance, ensuring compliance, and managing daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a solid understanding of the collections domain. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of collection agents to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly recovery targets. Monitor team performance through call audits, productivity reports, and recovery dashboards. Allocate portfolios/accounts to agents and ensure optimal workload distribution. Guide agents in handling difficult customer cases and negotiating effective repayment solutions. Conduct regular training sessions on communication skills, compliance standards, and collection techniques. Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and in accordance with company and client policies. Collaborate with management to develop strategies to improve recovery efficiency. Ensure accurate documentation and timely updating of customer interaction records in CRM systems. Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports and present performance insights to senior management. Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines, client requirements, and ethical recovery practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience in debt collection or recovery operations, with at least 1 year in a team leader/supervisory role. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Good knowledge of collection processes, recovery strategies, and regulatory norms. Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and reporting. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling banking, NBFC, fintech, or telecom collection portfolios. Exposure to early stage, mid-stage, or late-stage collection processes.
