The Role:

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)


Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and own the company’s long-term technical strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that align with our health, food, and wellness mission.
  • Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and future-ready.

Product Development Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end development of our MVP and subsequent product iterations.
  • Oversee architecture, development, deployment, and integration of tech solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and growth teams to align on features and user experience.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Build and manage the technical team: hiring, mentoring, and fostering a strong engineering culture.
  • Establish and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Promote agile development methodologies and continuous improvement.

Technical Operations & Infrastructure

  • Set up cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, data pipelines, and security standards.
  • Ensure reliable, fast, and secure performance of all digital platforms and tools.
  • Monitor KPIs and tech performance metrics to drive decisions.

Innovation & Problem Solving

  • Stay current with emerging technologies in health tech, wellness, and AI.
  • Drive innovation in personalization, nutrition tracking, behavior change, and digital health tools.
  • Solve complex problems across technical, product, and UX domains.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Translate complex technical ideas for stakeholders, investors, and non-tech partners.
  • Collaborate on fundraising, pitches, and technical due diligence when needed.
  • Contribute to the company’s thought leadership and brand through speaking, writing, or networking.


Requirments:

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in a senior engineering or technology leadership role.
  • Experience with start-ups, especially in health tech, wellness, food, or consumer platforms.
  • Full-stack technical expertise, ideally across modern web/mobile stacks, cloud, and data platforms.
  • Familiarity with building MVPs and scaling products from 0 to 1 (and beyond).
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy in health-related platforms.
  • A builder’s mindset with a founder’s drive.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ready to start part-time, with a clear path to full-time as we grow


Compensation Structure:

  • Permanent equity

    in the company (co-founder level).
