Job Purpose:

The job purpose of a Shift Engineer - Cluster - PECVD in cell process is to oversee and optimize the Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) process for depositing thin films onto silicon wafers used in solar cell manufacturing. This role involves ensuring precise control over deposition parameters, maintaining high-quality Plasma film production, troubleshooting technical issues, work on completion of already defined DOEs on RI & thickness, BOM and report compilation and adhering to safety and regulatory standards, all aimed at maximizing the efficiency and reliability of solar cell production.

Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance :

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and training to maintain a safe work environment. Proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance with safety regulations.

PECVD Process Oversight

  • Manage and supervise the deposition of thin films onto silicon wafers using PECVD technology, ensuring precise control and adherence to production schedules.

Process Optimization

  • Optimize PECVD parameters (gas flow rates, temperature, pressure) to achieve uniform and high-quality thin films, improving solar cell efficiency.

Equipment Management

  • Supervise PECVD equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

Process Control

  • Conduct inspections to verify thin film thickness, uniformity, and adherence, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

Troubleshooting And Problem Solving

  • Identify and resolve technical issues affecting PECVD processes or equipment performance promptly.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of process parameters, production data, and equipment maintenance activities, supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Tech – Electronics/Chemical / Metallurgy/ Renewable Energy
  • Desired Qualification : BE/BTech

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

  • Min 2 - 5 years of experience in PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) process activities , with a focus on film uniformity, Process SPCs, and yield optimization.
