Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad
Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–5 years

Key Responsibilities

1) AWS Infrastructure

Design and operate AWS environments: VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, IGW/NAT, peering if needed.
Provision and manage EC2 Windows instances, EBS, EFS/FSx (if required), S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Backup, Route 53.
Implement secure access patterns using SSM (preferred), limited bastion usage, and controlled RDP exposure.

2) Windows Server Engineering

Build and maintain Windows images (Packer/EC2 Image Builder optional).
Hardening baseline: Local policies, firewall, RDP security, disabling legacy protocols, Defender, patch cadence.
Manage Windows Updates strategy so it doesn’t kill UX (maintenance windows, staged updates).

3) Reliability, Monitoring, Backups, DR

Implement monitoring/alerts: availability, disk/CPU/memory, failed boots, agent health, login failures, cost anomalies.
Backup and restore: Snapshots, AWS Backup policies, test restores, RPO/RTO targets.
Incident response playbooks + postmortems.

4) Cost Optimization + Billing Primitives

Optimize EC2 economics: instance right-sizing, gp3 tuning, schedules, savings plans/reserved instances where appropriate.
Track usage: per-tenant hours, storage, bandwidth, license implications, basic billing report generation / chargeback logic.

5) Security & Compliance

IAM least privilege, key rotation, secrets management (Secrets Manager/SSM Parameter Store).
Audit logging (CloudTrail, Windows event logs shipping).
Guardrails against abuse: brute-force protection, geo restrictions, WAF (if portal exposed), rate limiting.

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3, Route53 (and ideally AWS Backup/CloudTrail).
Strong Windows Server ops: RDP/RDS fundamentals, patching, hardening, troubleshooting.
Automation scripting: PowerShell + one of Python/Node.js.
Comfort building operational tooling with Lambda / EventBridge / Step Functions.
Security fundamentals: network segmentation, auth patterns, logging, least privilege.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
