Overview: Medicaps University seeks a visionary and strategic Chief AI Officer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions across academic, research, and administrative domains. The CAIO will champion AI innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and position the university as a national leader in educational technology, smart campuses, and AI-enabled learning ecosystems. 1. Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute the university-wide AI strategy aligned with academic excellence, research goals, and administrative modernization. • Identify high-impact AI initiatives in teaching, learning, admissions, research, career services, and university operations. 2. Academic Integration • Work with deans and departments to embed AI into curriculum and interdisciplinary programs. • Launch AI skill-building initiatives, certifications, and faculty training modules. • Facilitate AI-powered personalized learning and student performance analytics. 3. Research & Innovation • Build AI research clusters and promote cross-domain innovation with faculty and scholars. • Drive collaborations with industry, government, and global universities for joint AI research and projects. • Oversee incubation of AI startups through the MII Foundation and Centre for Innovation. 4. Operations & Efficiency • Implement AI-based automation in university operations such as admissions, fee management, HR, security, and campus maintenance. • Champion ethical AI usage, data privacy, and compliance with emerging AI policies. 5. Technology Ecosystem Building • Set up AI infrastructure (labs, cloud systems, tools) and promote open-source, scalable models. • Evaluate and implement AI tools like chatbots, LLMs, predictive analytics, and recommendation engines. 6. Stakeholder Engagement • Liaise with regulatory bodies (AICTE, UGC), government agencies, and corporate. • Organize workshops, conclaves, and hackathons on AI for students and faculty. Key Qualifications: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields. 8–12 years of experience in AI strategy, implementation, or research (academic or industry). Proven track record of leading AI initiatives, preferably in an educational or research setting. Strong understanding of machine learning, NLP, data engineering, and emerging AI trends. Excellent communication, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Attributes: Experience working with EdTech, GovTech, or AI policy frameworks in India. Background in startup incubation, digital transformation, or university innovation. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and open-source AI tools. Show more Show less
