Position Overview

The Chartered Accountant – Finance & Administration will oversee the university’s financial management, compliance, and financial administrative processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, strategic financial planning ability, and hands-on experience in managing finance operations within a university ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Compliance

• Oversee end-to-end financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, university grants, and auditing requirements.
• Manage timely preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and MIS reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and statutory bodies.

Administration & Process Oversight

• Streamline financial policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with university operations.
• Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to ensure proper fund utilization.
• Support decision-making by providing financial insights to senior leadership.
• Handle vendor management, payroll coordination, and procurement processes in compliance with policy.

Strategic & Advisory Role

• Advise university leadership on financial planning, resource optimization, and cost-efficiency.
• Contribute to long-term financial sustainability and growth planning of the institution.
• Provide financial support for new initiatives, infrastructure projects, and academic expansions.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification:

  Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  8+ years of post-qualification experience

  , with at least

  5 years in a university or higher education institution

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in ERP/financial software, Tally, and MS Office / Adv MS Excel,

• Core Competencies:
